GAMM
100 Jahre GAMM – a scientific art exhibition
On the occasion of the 100th jubilee of GAMM, this exhibition has shown artifacts of the academic heritage, scientific and art collections of TU Dresden, selected artworks of regional and international artists as well as installations fusing art, science and technology. The exhibited objects have been selected to connect applied mathematics and mechanics in a historic perspective.
It has focused on how AI interprets this connection, how symmetry and phase transitions inspire artworks and how geometric objects change collectively. People could Interact with a fluidic structure, explore historical calculation machines, moving models of mechanisms and gear, a new exhibit of the Erlebnisland Mathematik and got to know personalities who have shaped GAMM. The exhibition took place at HSZ room 304 during the conference with a midissage and the launch of the video installation ‘Airport’ by Anton Ginzburg, Stefan Gumhold and Axel Voigt.
